You breathe in the sky with every breath, just like the clear waters of Uzungöl flowing into the Black Sea. Uzungöl, located 99 km from Trabzon and 19 km from Çaykara district, at an altitude of 1090 m above sea level, is a natural lake that is said to have been formed in the 1600s when the soil and rocks that slid from the slopes of the valley where Şerah village was located blocked the Haldizen stream as a result of a landslide. The settlement area formed around it also takes its name from "Uzungöl". Uzungöl, which attracts great attention from local and foreign tourists, has a very high touristic potential. In addition to trekking, bird watching and botanical tours of the lake and Trabzon's highest Haldizen valley, organizing trips to the lakes between the higher mountains or to nearby plateaus such as Şekersu, Demirkapı and Yaylaönü, where you can visit the natural beauty and the original wooden village houses of traditional Black Sea architecture. There is a possibility. Haldizen Mountain is 3,325 meters. The lake, which was formed in the Haldizen valley as a result of the landslide closing the stream bed in the form of a natural dam, displays an attractive landscape with the steep slopes and spruce forests covering the slopes around it. Uzungöl varies little seasonally in terms of water level. The lake, at an altitude of 1090 m, is approximately 1000 meters long, 500 meters wide and 15 meters deep. Natural trout live in the lake.
